The IsoCool Rack

A portable machine room

 for home, studio or location.

The standard IsoCool with a filter in the floor and fans in the rear door

&

The IsoCool II with dual fans in the floor and rear door for ultra cooling.

All racks come equipped with digital thermometer, an alarm system in the event of overheating, floor grommets for cables, rear rack rail (standard depth 21.875") & a lock for the front door.

Options include the setback and interface cutout (see photos), & phenolic plywood (available in black and brown) for a beautiful water resistant woodgrain finish.

THE INTERFACE PANEL

The Setback and Interface Panel were designed to allow the equipment in the IsoCool to be accessible without opening the rack doors.  It consists of a precut aperture with rack ears.  Any connector can be added to the rear door by purchasing a standard rackmountable frame  and connector panels from the usual vendors.  Ask your salesperson for assistance.

The model shown is a Swingdown from Signal Transport.

STUDIO SPACE CONSIDERATIONS

THE IsoCool (BLOWERBOX, NO FANS ON THE FLOOR) HAS A FOOTPRINT OF 25.25" (WIDE) X 32.75" (DEEP)

THE IsoCool II (BLOWERBOX, FANS ON THE FLOOR) HAS A FOOTPRINT OF 25.25" (WIDE) X 39.75" (DEEP)

THE REAR DOOR SETBACK

The Setback  with convoluted foam covers the back of the Interface Panel area and is removable.  The door is 7" deep leaving a total  3"-4" for connectors and wires.  If more space is required specifications need to be outlined at the time the order is placed.

IsoCool FLIGHT CASE  STANDARDS

The selection of  the IsoCool is based on the following factors:

>The degree of heat generated by the equipment mounted in the rack and secondarily the ambient heat present.

>The need for airflow around the equipment and the location of the fans and vents on  the equipment.

The difference between the IsoCool and a standard shockmount rack:

>The thermostatically controlled fans,

>The .50" lexan door

This case is designed to absorb shock AND TOTALLY isolate machine noise.
